Choosing one
Stanchion posts outlast their belts by years, so replacing a whole post because the belt frayed is an expensive habit. The cassette is the entire working mechanism in one part and it swaps with a screwdriver. Belt ends fail before anything else since they take every knock, and a worn end no longer locks which means the barrier stops working. Rubber base rings perish on sets that get dragged rather than carried. Most of our cassettes and ends fit other major brands too, so a mixed fleet can be maintained from one order.
