What it is for
Belt ends take every knock the barrier receives and they are the first thing to go. A worn end no longer locks which means the belt releases when someone brushes it, and at that point the barrier has stopped being a barrier. Replacing the end costs very little and takes minutes. Three types cover most situations: the universal end that clips into any brand's receiver, an S-clip that wraps a post where there is no receiver at all and a magnetic end that grabs any steel surface without one.
