Terms and conditions

1. Quotes and orders

Every order starts as a written quote. It lists the products, the quantities and the prices, and it shows delivery, setup and collection as separate lines so you can take or decline each one.

A quote becomes an order when you accept it in writing, by email or through the order form on this site. Changes after that point are quoted again, and the new quote replaces the old one.

Rental rates published on this site apply to the equipment and hire periods they describe. Everything else is priced on the quote. Applicable sales taxes are added to the prices shown.

2. Payment

We invoice against the accepted quote. Invoices can be paid by credit card, direct deposit or Interac e-Transfer. The invoice states when payment is due.

3. Buying equipment

Shipping or delivery is quoted separately. Ownership of the equipment passes to you once the invoice is paid in full; responsibility for it passes to you on delivery.

Please check the goods when they arrive and tell us straight away about anything damaged, missing or different from the quote.

Printed and custom-made items — branded belts, rope sleeves, barricade covers, post wraps and sign panels — are produced to your artwork and cannot be returned unless they are faulty. Returns and warranty on standard stock are as stated on your quote.

4. Renting equipment

The hire period is the one on your accepted quote, from the moment the equipment reaches you until it is collected or returned. The shortest period is one day.

To keep equipment longer, tell us before the period ends and the extra time is invoiced. Equipment kept past the agreed end without that arrangement remains your responsibility and may be charged for the additional days.

Rented equipment stays our property. Use it for its intended purpose, do not alter, drill, paint or permanently fix anything to it, and return it in the condition it arrived in, allowing for ordinary use. You do not need to clean velvet ropes or carpet runners before returning them.

5. Insurance, damage and loss

Insurance is part of the rental rate. What it covers is set out with your quote.

Scuffs and light marks from normal use are expected and are not charged. Damage beyond that, and equipment that is lost or stolen while in your care, is charged at the cost of repair or replacement to the extent the insurance does not cover it. Please tell us as soon as you notice a problem.

6. Delivery, setup and collection

These are available on every order and priced as separate lines. Tell us about the access at the address — stairs, a small lift, a long walk from the loading area, an out-of-hours load-in — when you place the order, and the visit is planned around it.

If we arrive and cannot deliver or collect because the site is closed, nobody is there to receive us or the agreed access has changed, a second visit is quoted.

7. Cancellation

Cancellation terms are set out on your quote. Please cancel in writing, by email, so the time of your request is on record. If we are unable to supply an order we have confirmed, you are refunded in full.

8. Responsibility at your event

We are responsible for supplying the equipment in working order and for any delivery, setup and collection you ordered. The event itself is yours: how the equipment is laid out and used once it is in place, supervision, the movement of people around it, site safety and any venue or permit requirements that fall on the organiser.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the province or territory where the equipment is delivered and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

10. Changes to these terms

We revise these terms as the business changes. Your order is governed by the version published on the day it was confirmed; the date at the top shows the latest revision.
