What it is for
Two situations make magnets the right answer. The first is a leased building where the landlord will not have holes in the walls. The second, and the bigger one, is warehouse racking, where closing an aisle while a forklift works in it is a daily job and the closure needs to move as the work moves. The unit clamps to the racking upright with no tools, comes off in a second and goes back on somewhere else. A magnetic belt end can be specified too so the far side needs no receiver plate at all.
