What it is for
Parking structures and open floors are full of columns and short of walls which is exactly the situation this solves. The clamps wrap whatever the column is and hold the unit at whatever height you set, with no drilling into structure that you probably are not allowed to drill into anyway. From there the belt reaches to the next column, a wall or a stanchion. It is the piece that lets a wall mounted system work in a building that does not have convenient walls.
