What it is for
Square frames end in four sharp corners and in a packed queue those corners sit at roughly the height of a child's face. The radius design removes them, which is why this version gets specified for airports schools and anywhere a risk assessment is part of the purchase. Aluminium rather than steel makes it suitable outdoors as well since it does not need weatherizing to survive rain. It takes thicker quarter inch sign material so the insert stays flat instead of bowing in the frame.
