What it is for
Indoor stanchions do badly outside. Cast iron rusts where the coating chips, powder coat chalks in the sun and a 21 pound base is not much against a gust across an open lot. The outdoor version answers all three with a rubber base that shrugs off weather and adds enough weight low down to stay upright, plus a post in an OSHA safety colour so the barrier is doing its job before anyone gets close enough to read the belt. Yellow for everyday hazards, orange for higher risk, red where the message is stay out entirely.
