What it is for
Length is a practical constraint more often than people expect. On a narrow sidewalk an 8.5 foot barricade leaves no room for pedestrians, and any layout with a lot of corners wastes most of a long panel on the turn. The shorter version fits both. It is also easier for one person to carry and place which matters on a job with a small crew. Construction is identical to the full size model so it interlocks with it and you can run both in the same line where the geometry calls for it.
