What it is for
Every barricade run needs a way through it and without a gate the way through is two people lifting a panel out and putting it back, usually while a crowd watches. A gate is a proper opening: it hangs on the same hook and loop connection as the barricades, latches to stay shut against a crowd and swings when someone with the right vest needs to pass. Plan them into the layout at medical points, steward positions and vendor routes rather than discovering the need on the day.
