What it is for
Work out the cost of a barrier by the foot rather than by the post and long belts win easily. A 16 foot belt covers nearly the ground of two standard posts which cuts what you buy, what your team carries out and what has to go back into storage afterwards. Setup time drops for the same reason. The wider 3 inch post carries the extra spring load without the belt sagging in the middle.
