What it is for
Colour behaves differently under event lighting than it does in a showroom. Navy in particular tends to drop toward black once the house lights come down which is a problem if the whole point was matching a brand. Royal blue holds up. It stays readable as blue in photographs and under coloured wash lighting, which is why activation teams pick it over navy when the rope has to be recognisably on brand. In a daylit lobby it is the livelier of the two and reads as event equipment rather than building fixture.
