What it is for
Most stanchion finishes are chosen so the post is not noticed. This range is chosen so it is. Brass has been the hotel and theatre standard for a century and the antique platings give a depth of colour that a powder coat cannot reach, which matters in a building where the door handles and light fittings were specified with the same care. All nine finishes come from stock rather than as a custom order so a matching set does not add weeks to the project. If your room already runs to warm metals the belt line should not be the one cold thing in it.
