What it is for
An A-frame does two things a fixed sign cannot: it faces both ways along a street and it disappears at closing time. Snap frame edges mean the poster changes without unscrewing anything, which matters for a board showing today's menu or this weekend's event. Aluminium keeps the weight down for carrying it in and out daily while surviving the rain it will spend its life in. Double sided is the usual choice since a single sided board only works if all your traffic arrives from one direction.
